Newton's Nook: Day 4 of July Reveals

It's day four of the July Release reveals at
Newton's Nook Designs!
Today we are featuring the set called "Newton's Summer Vacation"
This set will be given away to two lucky winners, so stop by the
Newton's Nook Blog to leave a comment!

This ended up being my favorite card of the week!
Turquoise and orange is one of my fav color combos, but I
also had a lot of fun coloring in Newton and his little pal :)
I stamped onto the reverse side of a white textured cardstock with Staz-On ink.
I like to use Staz-On when working with watercolor pencils and blending brush
because it doesn't bleed.  I colored in the design with Faber Castell Aquarelles

Next, I partially stamped Newton onto a small piece of clear acetate overlay with Staz-On
and then trimmed out around the goggles.  I colored the rim of the goggles with
a red alcohol marker and attached over the stamped image with Zip-Dry glue.

I used a Tombow glue pen to attach the baker's twine around the die-cut.
Patterned papers and enamel dots are from Doodlebug Design.
This is definitely a card that will go into my "keeper" bin...I can't part with it!
